About Ironpace

Ironpace is a small US-run brand that sells one thing well: an adjustable weighted jump rope built for people who train with intent — boxers, CrossFit athletes, and anyone tired of ropes that feel like toys.

We started Ironpace after noticing the same complaint across gyms and comment sections: most jump ropes on the market are made for kids' fitness videos, not for someone doing 500 double-unders before a boxing session. Handles crack, cables fray, and the "weighted" ones rarely let you adjust anything. So we picked one rope — a dual-cable, removable-weight design with a proper ball bearing — and built a brand around selling it honestly and standing behind it.

Where it's made

We don't own a factory, and we're not going to pretend we do. The Ironpace rope is produced by a manufacturing partner that specializes in jump rope hardware, with the bearing, cable set and handle weights sourced and quality-checked as one unit before it ships to us. We work directly with that partner on packaging and branding, but we're upfront that this is a curated product, not something engineered from scratch in a US workshop — that distinction matters to us, and we'd rather you know it than assume otherwise.

What we do control is which rope makes it onto the site in the first place. Before we ever sold this one, our product lead put it through the same kind of training block a customer would — skipping, boxing rounds, cable swaps between sessions — and rejected two other candidates that didn't hold up. Ironpace is deliberately a small operation. We don't run a warehouse full of unrelated products or chase every trending gadget — we sell this one rope, in three colorways, and put our attention into getting the sourcing, the checkout and the support right rather than spreading thin across a catalog. If that changes down the line, it'll be because we've tested the next product the same way, not because we needed something new to advertise.

Honest by default

We don't post fake reviews, we don't invent five-star ratings, and we tell you where a budget product has limits. The rope's exact handle weight and total mass aren't published by our manufacturing partner, so we won't put a made-up number on our own product page — we'll tell you it has removable internal weight and a heavier cable than a standard speed rope, because that's what we can actually verify. If a customer's photo shows a scuffed handle or a cable that needed a quick swap, that's part of the reviews page too, not something we hide.
